Quartzsite Feb. 23rd

Our stay at Gunsight Wash came to an end, we really enjoyed our time there, so did Jack. He especially liked the big Mesquite tree.

Final sun set there.
Our intention was to head back to Ajo and stay in a RV park for a couple of days. The park we chose had no vacancies. As it was early we decided to head for Gila Bend, there is a nice park there that we have stayed in before. Well, we missed the turn and were heading for Maricopa and, not having been on that road before, we continued on. Lots of farm land around there and the town is very new, with lots of building going on. The bad part was, this route took us through Phoenix at rush hour. Having endured that, Buckeye was the next town to try for a place to stay. No luck, full, OK, back to Gila Bend. Sonoran Desert RV Park had a space for one night. That is the RV park we had intended to stay at three hours earlier. OH, well, it's only fuel, we had the time.

We are now back in Quartzsite. We will stay here till we go to Apache Junction to help my friends John and Rex at a Precision Aerobatics Contest. Then we head home.

The weather was good till we hit Quartzsite, then the wind started again. At least no snow, like at home😀  It is cloudy today, we will be lucky to hit 15C. 9 or 10 at night, so not to bad there. With the wind blowing and only 12 right now, we are using the furnace and with little solar, I may have to run the generator for the first time this trip.

Dave and Sheila are still here, so we plan on meeting up with them. They are at a Grand Design Rally this week but we will see them before we leave.

Did I say we are sick of the wind??
