Red Rock Canyon St. Pk. Jan. 6th
Not a long drive today, a good thing too, as Jack was not to happy to be on the road again after the long drive the day before. One of the few times he has complained.
Red Rock Canyon is on Hwy 14, north of California City. We had never been here before but have seen a few of the vloggers we watch make reports on it and it looked like a great place to come to. They were not wrong, beautiful.
A couple of shots from our site.
Jack liked it here and did some exploring. He played king of the castle, mountain lion and ant stomper. Funny to watch him.
The incredible rock formations behind us came down in a draw behind us. We walked around the rocks and looked down on the trailer.
This is a photo of the rock in the third picture from the backside.
There is a spot just before the turnoff to the park that had some great Red Rocks
We thought this one was interesting.
The tourists getting in the picture.
One more of Jack playing Mountain Lion.It was so nice there, we stayed for three nights. Did some hiking, sight seeing and had some campfires. It was great to have some nice weather for a change. The morning we were leaving, a Park Ranger knocked on the door and told us that a lot of rain was expected later that day. So, if we were leaving, don't wait to long but we were welcome to stay. If we stayed, it would have been till the flooded road went down and we could get out of the park. We left shortly thereafter. The weather was changing as we drove off to Needles with the wind picking up but not too much rain.

Great update! Great spot! We thought you got washed away :-)
