Beverly Beach Dec. 28th

Turkey was on the menu for Xmas dinner, we had to time getting it carefully, as we had no place to keep one frozen. On the Wed. before Xmas we went looking for one, thinking we could defrost it slow enough to be ready for the 25th. Sure enough, on the morning of the 25th it was perfectly thawed. After making the stuffing, it was now time to stuff the bird, I cut off the plastic wrapping and what the heck. It was already cooked, none of us had ever seen such a thing. Oh well, back in the fridge for a couple of hours, then cook it slow for about three hours. Believe it or not it was very tasty, who knew.

This is Ilwaco's Xmas tree, all crab traps, a huge crabbing village.

Various beaches around Cape Disappointment.

The past few days have been very stormy, lots of wind and rain. I can't say the drive down to Beverly Beach was white knuckle, but you always wonder at what point the wind is strong to tip the trailer over.

A couple of photos of the water along the way.

The water on the road was over a foot deep in places, a struggle for smaller cars.

We are off to Bullard Bay, we may stay there for a couple of days, we will see.
